Artifacts In Paint

My paintings evolve through layered decisions and corrections. I work until the surface reveals something I wasn’t looking for but recognize instantly when it appears. The result is a balance of structure, improvisation, and accident.

Landscape

My landscape paintings come from both observation and memory. Some are painted on location, others are built from impressions and imagined spaces. I focus on rhythm, light, and atmosphere — letting the forms shift between the familiar and the invented.

Abstract

These paintings explore form, color, and gesture. I work intuitively, layering marks until the figure or structure starts to emerge. The goal isn’t representation — it’s finding the moment where the image feels alive.

Cityscape

My cityscapes distill urban space into pattern, structure, and color. I mix realism with abstraction, reducing the city to its underlying rhythm while keeping enough detail to feel grounded and recognizable.
